I'm building up a shelf display depicting a timeline of 1:72 US tanks and fighter planes through the years. The fighters are built with landing gear retracted, suspended above the tanks of the same era. One of the aircraft I want to feature is an F-4 Phantom II.
My question is: Has anyone built the Hasegawa 1:72 F-4E (kit #HAS 332) with gear up? It's fairly inexpensive but if it's a bear to build it "clean" then I'm willing to spend more to save me pain & suffering. I'd also like to hear recommendations/experiences/tips from anyone who's built some other gear-up F-4 kit in this scale.
