I just found two pics of a DC-3(Canadian Colonial Airways) and it has the portable stairway. They are really not focused on the stairway but you can see how it is bacically laid out.
Just to let you know that the one pic is taken fron the port side and you can just see the undercarage of the stairway. The other is taken from the front view which you can see it a lot clearer.
