Hi jimz66, The main difference between the F15A and F15C is fuel capacity. The wing on the C is "wet" from the leading edge to the flaps. Also the forward fuel cell in the fuselage is larger. The C is also capable of carrying conformal fuel tanks. To be honest with all the upgrdes that have been done on the Eagles it's hard to tell the differences any more. The chaff/flare dispencers forward of the main wheel wells, and the comm. panel being just aft of the left inlet on the C's, are the only give aways. I don't know about the kit but if it's a newer mold like 09492 it's a good kit.

It is based on their F-15C kit with markings from the 1st TFS, from 1982 with FF with aircraft number 80 0037 and one from the USAF 313th Air Division from 1983 aircraft number ZZ 78 5313. Both are in a two tone scheme.

Two other questions while I am thinking of them. What is the normal fuel tank layout for this aircraft\, and does the C model carry anything other than missiles. I thought it carried only missles they show it carring bombs as well and I did not think that was right. Thanks.

The norm for the F15 is the center line tank only, however, there are times when the two wing pylon tanks would be installed without the center line, it depends on mision requirements. I do not know of any time that bombs have been carried by an F15A ,B,C or D. I think I remember hearing something about IDF Eagles being fitted to carry bombs, but I'm not that sure of it. I know they are getting an E varrient now.

What colors do I need to use for the back of the cockpit. It is some kind of metalic blue or green. I usually use Testor paints. What can i use for that? Thanks.

The equipment bays ( bay 5 ), on the C models that I crewed, were painted semi gloss white. My A model bay 5 was kind of a blue-green metalic. I think about a 80% zinc cromate green and 20% metalic blue should be close.
