I am planning a diorama in 1/24 scale of an Axis aircraft on the Russian front in WW2.Does anyone know what aircraft fought on this front and what kits are available ,conversions or aftermarket stuff ? I want to get the history right before I buy anything.THanks. Cheers! John.

John,

Airfix had 1/24 scale Me109 and Ju87. I believe I also saw a Fw190 somewhere but don't remember where.

Airfix makes the 1:24 FW-190A, Me-109E and Ju-87. Trumpeter makes the 1:24 Bf-109G. I built the Ju-87 in the past and it builds into a decent kit. I was given the Me-109E as a gift but it still sits in the closet waiting to be built. I don't know how the FW-190 goes together but if it fits as well as the 1:24 Hurricane, it'll build up quite nicely. I haven't heard anything bout the Trumpeter 109.

Thanks guys.At this point it looks like the Trumpeter 109 is a good bet for a diorama.Cheers! John.
