Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, May 8, 2004 12:30 AM
Bugger!!!

Try as I might I cannot locate the cockpit for the Academy 1/48 Corsair I am currently building. I think I may have accidently thrown it out (doh!).

Any suggestions on how I can obtain another one folks?

You know, i was going to get a part replaced by academy, but they didn't answer my e-mails, so i'm not sure if i had the proper address. maybe someone here has a spare of that part in their spares drawer... Or, you could buy a 2nd kit? Bit of a waste of money, though...

Thanks for the replies 'shrikes' and 'fightnjoe' - guess I should have said I have lost the 'canopy' not the cockpit. Have looked at Aires cockpit set but I don't think it includes the canopy. I think I am snookered...so to speak. Trouble is I have already put about 30 hours into the kit so I am not about to trash it now.

Will have to keep looking.

Regards,

Bob

Well, maybe you can get someone from the forum to vacuform it for you? Of you could do it yourself... I hear that there are cost effective ways to do this.Try posting in the USMC GB asking for a replacement parts. I think there are a few guys over there who are doing Corsairs. Big Smile [:D]
