What's the best 1/72 F-82 kit?

I have the Monogram, Novo, and Hobby Craft kits. I want to do this subject justice. I also need an opinion on decals. I like the markings the Novo box art depicts, but of course more often than not Novo's come san decals.

Let me try... but I warn you that most of this is guesswork, because I've never seen Hobby Craft nor the FROG (Novo) kits. I'm assuming based on the reputations of FROG and Hobby Craft....

I have the Monogram kit and most likely it will be the best of the lot. In its earlier days, Hobby Craft "copied" a lot of other kits. I've heard this is the case with their F-82, using Monogram's. As for the FROG/Novo release, you'll probably find that one a very simple kit with less detail (cockpit & wheel wells) than Monogram's. There was a SuperScale aftermarket sheet for F-82's out many, many years ago. Consider yourself extremely lucky if you ever find one!

Sorry I can't do better, although I hope this will help just a little...

Yes Mr. Moosecat it does help! seriously though I have mentioned the three kits I have, but I will buy another if there is a better kit available. I also checked out your site - Nice and great photos!

It won't work unnamedplayer. The F-82 was a brand new airframe. It didn't use two Mustang fuselages.
