Su-7BKL/BMK

I bought a 1/48 scale Su-7BKL/BMK at a flea market today. It is made by OEZ in the Czech Republic. Has any one ever built one of their kits? How is the fit? Any problems with it?

I only paid $6.00 for it. When I got it home I found there were two complete models in the box, minus one set of decals.

WOW... 241! No, I never HAVE built an OEZ kit, but that's a great deal no matter HOW good the kit is. I assume it comes with Czech markings; what scheme do you intend to use?

I built this kit. It's not bad. The panel lines may seem a little heavy-handed, but if you've ever seen one of these things close up, they're not far off the mark. I recall very few fit problems, but watch out for sink holes especially on the wing tops. It looked pretty good once assembled. You may want to check with Linden Hill Imports, as they have a resin cockpit set for this as well os other aftermarket goodies. http://www.lindenhillimports.com

Thanks for the info Bubbamoosecat. Just by looking at it their doesn't seem to be any sink holes in the kit. I did notice the landing gear parts were off center in the mold. Every thing else seems to be ok.

Fitter. The kit decals have Polish, Czech, Indian and Russian. Now that I have two, I am going to build one Indian and one Czech.

OEZ kits are kinda cool. They just LOOK neat in the box, and all those markings...

I started one of their MiG-21's many years back but gave it to a pal when the Minicraft/Academy kits were released. No real problems , but I never got past putting the wings on. The cockits are a bit "eh", and the glass depends on the kit. (I don't remember what the Su-7's looked like, but the MiG-21's had really thick glass.)

I wish I still had all those OEZ kits, they're good for a fairly quick build just for the sake of building.

It doesn't look like it would be a quick kit to build. It has lots of small parts. The cockpit looks a little bare though. The landing gear looks like it will be a bear to get all of those small parts together. It is not for a beginner, that is for sure.
