                        folks,

                        Can you guys direct me toward research material on the
                        Macci 205 Veltro? Looking for cockpit details, paint scheme info
                        etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just picked up a
                        1/48 scale kit and am looking forward to putting the bad boy
                        together.

                        hey ive been researching the Regia aeronautica aircraft and pilots for a long time now.the best website ive found is http://www.teamblau.it/iwai/ and the best book ive come across is Macchi 202 in ACTION published by squadron\signal publications.it goes through the entire history of the 202 and then to the 205 with cockpit photos and paint schemes.its a rare book(as im sure you know there arent many books about the italian air force)i bought it for 10 dollars availabe at www.squadron.com

                        Best reference for MC-205 is Aero Detail 15. Can be purchased from Roll Models. It has lots of color pictures including full cockpit coverage. May be a bit pricey. It also covers MC-202 and MC-200.
