Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 4:33 PM
I am researching modeling ideas for subject model and I am interested in finding after market parts for the F/A - 18 Hornet NASA from Hasegawa.

Please advise me if any items are available.

Thank You

BEARFRK,
What variant of the 18 are you going to build? and I assume its 1/48th.
Black box has "all resin" interiors for the Hornet that are both single and two seater variants. They are both very nicley done. The one resin inter that comes to mind is #48002.
Off hand I dont recall the number but Verlinden also has a set which comprises of resin and photo etched.
Cutting Edge also does a few external sets aswell. They are an update set for the ( "LEX") and the slats and flaps. MAN I totally forgot these two are for the Monogram kit ,oops my badTongue [:P]. I'm sure you could incorporate these but then again Hasegawa is much better.
These are just a few that are out there.
Flaps up,Mike

If you would listen to everybody about the inaccuracies, most of the kits on your shelf would not have been built Too Close For Guns, Switching To Finger

Go for Black Box!Wink [;)] I have their F/A-18 A/C Late Lot cockpit set, and it is very nice. They make one for the B model, but I'm not sure of the stock number off hand. You might try Squadron's web site and see if they have it.
