Questions about Future Acrylic

Future won't dissolve from decals, but alcohol based decal solvents may cause it to discolor. This is rare but has happened to me a couple of times. The Future topcoat where the setting solution is applied will take on a "milky" white discoloration. Don't panic if this occurs however. Just let the model dry for at least 24 hours and spray another light coat of Future and the discoloration will disappear.

No Future will not desolve when wet decals are placed on it; if you let the future cure properly. I always wait 48 hours, I have heard 24, but I don't want to chance a fingerprint in the paint. It is definately still tacky after 12 hrs. Once Future is dry not much will disolve it, obviously if you rub and rub it with alchohol, it will disolve, but I apply oil washes over it which are thinned with mineral spirits and it doesn't desolve.

Future is great stuff - it creates beautiful clearcoats - but if you airbrush it, don't thin it at all. Spray a couple of light dust coats and let them dry - don't try to build up a gloss all at once or it's not gonna be pretty...............
Gradually work up to a full wet coat, leave it for 24 hours, and as glusnfr(?) said, the stuff is self levelling.
Clean up can be with ammonia and water, or isopropyl alcohol, but I just use automotive acrylic thinner - it removes everything and smells very bad, but I use a spray booth.
Nice thing about Future is it smells nice - kinda fruity. When you can't smell this odor on your model, it's pretty well dry - if you can smell it, you'll probably damage the finish during handling.

Yes!! Future can be brushed, airbrushed and dipped. The nice thing about Future is it is self-leveling so long as you don't brush it on too thick and allow it to dry completely (24 hours minimum).
Clean up is easy. Soap and warm water will clean your brush. I use either Windex or alcohol to clean my airbrush. If you ar brushing it on, I don't think you need to thin Future. I use alcohol to thin it in my airbrush.
