Berny13 - thanks for the info. I'll look into Hasagawa. Re: Night Falcon - that designation was circa 1990, and at the time they only had the FLIR pod. Later they added the TGT pod, as did other blocks that dropped PGMs. Interesting to see if the Hasagawa model has both (a la F-15E).
I did notice that the Revell kit had tail cones for both engine variants + big/small mouth options. Coolness.
Butz - thanks too for the info. Yeah, the block x0 variants carry the GE engine, and the x2 variants carry the P&W engines. That the same for the 3x, 4x, and 5x blocks. I might not know the ins-and-outs of the models, but my job has lent me the background on the military hardware ;-) My friends in the squadrons I work with sing the praises of the GE engines and hate the P&Ws. Everyone has their preferences.
When I get around to building the Mountain Home F-16C, then I'll put on the HTS pod, as that squadron runs with block 52s.
I can't wait to get started!
