I guess you may have seen this link above? It says you need "Old Crow" on both sides to be accurate. Sounds like Testors got it wrong. You may have to look for after-market decals to get the other side. But also, they said in the article that one way of correcting for this is to buy two model kits, and use the decals for just one aircraft. The other kit you can use to build Chuck Yeager's plane.

I met Bud Anderson about 4 years ago at a conference where I interviewed him. I got a signed book by him, and it also had a signiture from Yeager. Coolness.

P-51D Mustang - Old Crow [Testors]

I am building the old Testors P-51D "Old Crow" P-51D Mustand. Through my research of the P-51D, I noticed the word "Old Crow" is almost always written on both sides of the fuselage. However, Testors came with just one decal for the left side. Can anyone shed some light on this or is Testors just not being accurate. If so, I can't believe they could not supply just one more decal. It may force me to buy a whole new model just for the decal. Thanks to all those respond and share their thoughts.
