Yep... the Academy one. I would want to build the bird (or more correctly, the bug) but the scale and the price are stopping me. I am mainly a quarter scale modeler... *sighs*

Man, these days I couldn't fathom the thought of building without an airbrush. I look back on the days when I was literally afraid of the dang things, and I just chuckle to myself. How we change with time...

Needing an airbrush is not a pre-requisite for any kit. Whether you need an airbrush is contingent on how fastidious you are with the finish of your model. Some folks just spray can everything, but the finish and quality is not nearly as good, and the control is not very good. An airbrush takes some time to learn and break-in, so you have to decide if spray cans are good enough or not, and if not, buy a good airbrush. :)

I have just had a good look at the Accademy kit and.........WOW!!!!!!
A real box full. Fantastic detail, full weapons fit. 3 choices of crew, 2 sitting, one with NVGs one climbing in ,plus deck crew and they will be releasing a two seater! the brekdown of parts makes that clear. An awsome decal sheet.
In all it looks like a fanttastic kit

Yes Academy 1/32nd just got one for $90.00 USD. Best price so far. Cannot wait to get my hands on it.
Though there is the Hasegawa kit of the prototype I have this as well. Also Revell had one also which is just as
old as the Hase kit.

Hasegawa has had one for years. Listed in Hobbyland for $60. Academy has a F-18C due out anytime now, Pre-order from Hobbyland is $96! Ouch!

Clear Left!
