Mystery kit...
Posted by Lufbery on Monday, May 19, 2003 9:42 AM
Hi all,

I've got a Monogram F-4 in 1/72 scale, but I'm not sure what type of F-4 it is. It came boxed with a much smaller scale kit of an aircraft carrier (the Nimitz I think) as a "Fighting Pair."

The decals for the Phantom are for a Marine squadron that uses shamrocks as its insignia. The back seat has the correct Navy consoles.

From what I've read, I think this is an F-4J.

What do you folks think?

Regards,

If it has the short nose, larger wheels and tires, bulges on top of the wing and main gear door, it is the F-4J.
