1/72 F-14D aftermarket decals and chin pod?
Posted by Lufbery on Tuesday, May 20, 2003 12:04 PM
Hi all,

I just picked up a Fujimi F-14D. The kit only has decals for the F-14D prototype, but I'd like to model a plane that is actually in service. Aeromaster has just released decals for an F-14D from VF-31, and they look attractive (http://decals.prohosting.com/decals/amd48618reviewrk_1.htm). Does anyone know of other decals that are available for this plane in this scale?

I'm also wondering if anyone know where I can find an aftermarket double barrel chin pod for the kit.

Regards,

Drew,

You might want to check out www.greatmodels.com. They carry just about every aftermarket manufacturer there is, and can special order anything. Plus, they're pretty darn cheap.

Thanks for the help, folks. As you probably guessed, I haven't built models in a long time and I'm still learning about the resources that are available.

Update: I've done a lot of searching and I've come up with a blank on the aftermarket chin pod. Does anyone have an F-14D chin pod in 1/72 scale in their parts box that they'd be willing to part with?
