Hi Gregers! - - C-69's were Lockheed's model 049 and 349. In 1941 the Army started taking civil airliners destined for the airlines right off the assembly line. 80 aircraft originally going to TWA and Pan Am became C-69A's. another 180 349's were specifically ordered by the Army as C-69B's but these were never built. Heller produced two Connie kits, a 749 and a 1049. You mention Air France markings so I assume you have the 749 kit. The 749 was ordered as the C-121A by the Air Force in 1948. The 049 and 749 are so similar they are almost the same airplane. From what I see the biggest external difference is the nose landing lights. Compare the nose of your model to the photos that Blackwolf posted above. If you're looking for a good Constellation reference, I would recommend "Lockheed Constellation" by Curtiss K. Stringfellow and Peter M. Bowers. It should be available through Midland Counties Publications in the UK. Hope this helps!
