Ventura - WW II Air - Ambulance
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, May 27, 2003 2:44 PM
A while back i built a Lockheed Ventura - x Frog - Novo kit and as the decals were best off in the bin, decided to do a Air Ambulance scheme, the reference i used was a bit vague so was curious to know if these Aircraft had common markings, i.e for USAF, RAF, or other Allies during the war ?, and anyone else built a variant of same / another Aircraft as a AA ? ( I did'nt fit a blue flashing light by the way !! )Smile [:)]
Hi Fabio, Just to say thank you for making my day - really good images, the Novo kit i built was a late Frog mould and went together nicely, i had it camoflaged - green & dark earth, sky, before opting for the ambulance scheme - used a red cross on upper fuselage and sides and think its reference was a Hudson AA or similiar, good to know a Ventura version did exist all the same....looks a little drafty tho ! (only kidding - nice one)
