Spitfires VS Bf109s
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, May 28, 2003 8:03 PM
Thanks to all who allowed me to decide in between a Wildcat and a P-47. (I chose the Jug) Now I´m asking all those afficionados to help me decide in between Tamiya´s Spitfire and Bf109. Both in 1/72. Thanks for your help!Big Smile [:D]

There's really only one answer to this question..................
Get 'em both, silly. Heh Heh...........
The grief I'd get from my wife wouldn't last THAT long, and the pleasure of building BOTH of them would last a lot longer.
Need I say more?
Go for it........

Both the 1/72 Tamiya Spits and 109's are scaled down versions of their 1/48 kits. All four releases are excellent, but the Spits have the edge for my money. The 1/48 Bf-109-E3 had a questionable shape in the nose area. This was improved with the 1/48 Bf-109-E4 release but I don't think the changes were ever incorporated in the E3. In 1/72 the nose shape wouldn't be as noticeable but I would go with the E4 if you opt for the 109.
