Where to find?
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, June 1, 2003 12:08 PM
I am soon going to start the Monogram 1/48 F-15E Strike Eagle and much to my dismay the model doesn't have bombs!!! Yes, a Strike Eagle without bombs. So does anybody know where I can find, let's say, 1/48 scale Mavericks, Mk-82/84s, BLU-109's etc.? I haven't been able to find any locally.

Thanks

Hmm.... I would say you need Hasegawa weapon sets widely available. however, I am not really sure if they contain the bombs you want. I believe you can easily modify them anyway. Try lookin at ebay (I saw one set for auction as I am writing this post). Also, hobbyshops would probably still carry them.

The Hasegawa set X48-5 I think it is, contains JDAMs, bunkerbusters and more. That should make a nice load out for the Strike Eagle. I am going to need one too, as I have the Strike Eagle still on the shelf.... Smile [:)]

Too bad you didn't get the ProModeler release of that kit, I believe it has extra sprues that include a mini-arsenal!
