Finished Tamiya F4U-1

Again, not the best pics but here she is. This is the first Tamiya Aircraft 1/48 kit that I have built, not bad right out of the box. I actually had a tiny bit of flash to deal with. I think they did that on purposeTongue [:P]

my favorite, the corsair. What is the blue you used? I guess you did not do the standard 3 color for the navy. This is a marine version? Looks nice.

Believe it or not...there was some flash on the flaps! Oh the horror....Wait 'till I send Tamiya my nasty letter... Wink [;)]

As for paint....I have (as of yet) to try Tamiya's paints. I use, almost exclusively, Testor's Model Master. I used Insignia Blue and Camoflauge Grey.

By the way, I almost forgot how much fun it was to paint canopies! I used a thin bristled brush dipped in thinner (like dry brushing) and "erased" the over paint. I then used Novus to clean up the plastic. Came out awesome with no dulling!
