Airfix F-86F really is ... what?
Posted by lasse on Monday, June 2, 2003 6:34 PM
The other day I saw an Airfix F-86F at my local hobbyshop. The shopkeeper alas wouldn't let me peek inside, so I refrained from buying.

Can anybody tell me, is this just the old Heller F-86F, or is it a better kit? Given that Airfix has been boxing Academy's B-17 and Italeri's C-47, I guess that *could* be the case.

I'm not sure if this is the reboxed Heller... One would hope so. The Heller kit is OK (see review below), a great kit at a very modest price, but I'd think the Fujimi kits would give you better quality, and engraved panel lines... Smile [:)]

A hobby shop that doesn't open a kit for a buyer to see? NOt the kind of hobby shop I would go to. MY local hobby shop will open a kit if they even get the slightest hint your interested in it.
