You can use the Sludge Wash on the inside as well the outside of the kit. In the archives here, there is a past article from the November issue that I read and used as reference when I done my first sludge washing. Here is a link for a pretty good cockpit photo of a P-51D

I hope this helps you...Shy [8)]

P-51 interior Info and aircraft washes! Thanks!

I'm building the Revell/Monogram P-51D with the Miss Marilyn II decals. This is my third model to be building so I'm still sticking with out of the box stuff. What I would like advice on, is washes for the outside and inside of the plane. I'd like to do a gentle wash on the interior pilot area (thats the only inside area that people will see,) and a worn wash on the outside to give it a weathered look. I have older issues of FSM where it tells how to do washes, but they always seem to say something different when I read them, and the interior and exterior washes aren't the same. Can anyone give me a plan to follow or a link to a website for these exterior and interior washes? Thank You...

Also, I would also appreciate any info on what the interior of a P-51 looks like (i.e. color scheme.) I can't find much on the web about the interior colors, such as seat, interior fuselage color, control panel colors. I reckon I could stick with the colors that are given in the directions, but I feel those don't go into enough detail.

Thank you in advance for any information and help! =)
