B24M Liberator

I always enjoyed building airplane models fro the veterans that flew the originals. The Academy kits are the best B-24's in 1/72 scale, but watch out for fit problems with the wing halves. some kits had a strange warp that will cause major headaches. My favorite metal finish is Alclad. Good luck with your project!

I dunno if you have any reference for a particular bird that you want to build, but if you want to build a particular aircraft then I may be able to help you out. There are several others here who can also help!


Fade to Black...

I haven't built a 24 in ages, but for metal I use Floquil Old Silver for weathered and Platinum Mist for new aluminum. I like the results There are plenty of hints in previous questions about metalic finishes and what people have used.
