Image Resizing
Posted by BlackWolf3945 on Tuesday, June 10, 2003 12:35 AM
Hey kids,

As many of you may have noticed, FSM's ace web-monkey, DVoss, has made some changes regarding images in posts.

All images which are over a certain width on the screen will automatically be resized so that they fit a bit better and so we don't have to wear out the horizontal scroll bar!

Anyhoo, DVoss is working to enable an enlargement feature for photos that are larger than the limit imposed by the auto-resizer. It seems to be enabled as of the time of this posting, but he's trying to come up with a visual cue so we'll know which photos can be enlarged.

Follow this link for a thread with more info:

If you don't have access to expensive image manipulation software, I can recommend Irfanview - it's free and easy to use.

It's particularly useful as you can rename or resize images in batches - handy if you have a hard drive full of large digital camera pics and want to optimise them for web viewing or the bandwidth impaired Wink [;)]
