How to do messages on bombs?
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, January 16, 2003 5:55 PM
How do you write the messages that airmen like to write on bombs?
I thought about writing them with a very fine, sharp white Prismacolor on the bombs that come with AMT/Ertl's old 1/72 F-111A and F-16A. Blush [:I] or to make them on my computer and print them on a decal sheet. Anyone tried these and got them to work?
Also, where can I find pictures of these online?

I haven't actually tried it yet, but am going to try it using regular artists pencils; I have the waxy based ones and I'm hoping it works well without having to overcoat it...Either that, or using a 10/0 sable brush and not so much coffee in the AM to keep the jitters down...

I don't know of any pictures, but here's something you might want to take a look at.

Try using a white gel ink pen. I have used them in all colors and they work well.

Hey skyline-r33, you're welcome, by the way, are you a skyline fan ? I'm in the process of finishing a 1/12 scale R33 GTR.

Hey markiii, sorry for missing this message... yes, I am Skyline fan, especially the R33, recently finished a 1/24. All I need is a little wax, a case and I'm done.

Mine will also be on a base with a 1:1 scale GTR logo.
