Squadron Mail Order shows the 1/72 Academy AT-6G in stock. This kit has Korean War era decals for both the ROKAF and the USAF.

They also have a couple of PE sets for this kit.

I wouldn't mind having some of those walkaround photos, any way you could zip them up and email them to me?

Non sequiter - my favorite T-6 story from my Dad. As a cadet, he had to fly a Lt. that he didn't like on short hop to another base. Upon takeoff, Dad rolled the AT-6 inverted, and pressed forward on the stick for negatice Gs. The LT blew his breakfast. The tower called to tell Dad he wasn't cleared for aerobatics. Dad informed the controller whom he had in the passenger seat (nobody liked the guy) and the tower replied "Roger, enjoy your flight." :D Dad had the LT upchucking the whole flight.

Rob, I'm currently building the Occidental 1/48th kit for a friend. Good fit, decent detail, a little clean up but overall a pretty good kit.

I have a bunch of walkaround photos of a T6 that is flown out of the warbird museum near my house. If you need something let me know.

I flew a t-6 Texan last year about this time, did some loops and rolls and hard turns and yo-yo's in it. Great fun and a wonderful experience, I wouldn't mind finding a kit of this myself.

Monogram and Occidental in 1/48 th
Heller, Airfix and Academy in 72nd
The Academy and Occidental are fairly new good kits
The heller and monogram are quite good, but show their age
( raised panel lines )
The aifix is about
40 years old and should be given a pass unless you want a real challenge

Revell do an air racing twin set in 1/48 with an AT-6 and a P-51.

If it's 1/72 you're after I think that both Airfix (Harvard) and Heller (Texan) produce one.

As to accuracy/availability, I have no idea!

Hope this helps a little,

Rob M.
