WW II A/C antenna locations
Posted by jridge on Friday, June 13, 2003 11:39 AM
Is there a reference that describes how the wire antennas are configured on WW II aircraft? The kit instructions don't include any information --- at least the kits I've worked on so far. I've searched the internet and bought numerous reference books - only to find out they don't have any antenna references in them.

I'm working on 1/48 bombers now. But, from what I can see, fighters are a challange too.

This always ends up being a big guessing game.

Instruction rarely give antenna wire information. I rely strictly on photos of the aircraft I am building, whether it's from books or if it's at an airshow. I will photograph a gnats ****** if it's on the aircraft. Also, History Channel documentries are an invaluable piece of information because you might see something in motion that you cannot see in photos.
