Bf109E3 update
Posted by renarts on Saturday, June 14, 2003 2:34 PM
Well guys, thanks loads. This is my first airplane. And I want to thank all of you that helped me out with info. Especialy Paul who sent me the corona wire for the antenae. Tread heads can do stuff out of the dirt. I appreciate your skills and willingness to help out.

I scratch detailed the cockpit adding extra lines and such, the seatharness is maskingtape painted and buckles are scratch. Brake lines are small pieces of copper wire and the retaining straps are very thin pieces of copper foil. I think I took a few liberties with the markings but I'm happy and I apologize to the purists. You have every right to gig me on it if you so choose.

Let me know what you think. The canopy is in work and the display base is also, but I was dying to show you guys so here 'tis.

Mike

Lookin' good. You can hardly go wrong with a 109, especially an Emil. I'm not partial or anything...

Glad the corona wire worked out. Any problems working with it? Didn't let go of the spool, did ya? Like a birdsnest cast while fishing! Great looking model!

Thanks guys, means alot comming from you guys. I appreciate the help and comments. Paul, I did let go of the wire. What a pretty sculpture it made. But its back on the spool. Easy to work with and looks great. Thanks again.
