It's a brand name of a type of 'paint' that you spray on with an airbrush. They sell many different 'metallic' colors like chrome, aluminum, etc and they are considered the best there is.

Their star product is probably the 'chrome'. It is spraed over gloss black enamel and the results are better than any other 'chrome' spray I've ever seen. I saw some auto wheels sprayed with it and to me they looked better than if they were chrome plated.

They sell other products as well (I think a color changing flip-flop paint), but are generally known for their metalizers.

I agree with Murray. Simply put, it is the best stuff out there for doing a natural metal finish I have ever used. It has to be airbrushed on and it comes in I think 9 different shades. The chrome is amazing!!!! You first have to paint the item gloss black then slowly apply the chrome. I used the chrome on some of the interior pieces of a truck my father was restoring and they came out looking better than new. I used the regular Alclads on a F-104 and it looks pretty good to. If I get a chance, I'll post a picture of it. If you have any questions about its use, let me know, I use it quite a bit.

Check with your local hobby shop if you have one or I am pretty sure Squadron carries it.

Here's a photo of the F-104 I did using Alclad. Let me know what you think.

I also agree... Alclad is the best metal paint, and I have tried just about all of them. It gives a finish that truely looks like metal!

I have some information here: http://www.naplak.com/modeling/tips/paint_alclad.htm
