FSA 595. This refers to the deck of Federal Standard Colors used as a reference for US military paint. My information is over 10 years old, and my "color fan" is labeled Federal Standard 595B. Its federal stock number is 7690-01-162-2210. It contains 60 pages of color chips, 2" x 5/8", (550 total chips)indexed by color number, ie: FS 36440.

The address I used was:

GSA
Specifications Section
Room 6654
7th and D Streets, SW
Washington, DC 20407

This cost me $6.00 in 1991. You may be able to find more current info on the internet.

Good Luck
Tom

For your canopy question, fill the canopy with something that will make it more resistant. For instance, use Fimo/Sculpey clay to fill the inside of the canopy, then bake the 'female' mold you've just done until it hardens. Next replace the canopy onto the cooled off clay and with a sharp knife cut as close as you can go to whatever the shape of the canopy is. Minor adjustments can then be done with sandpaper. Glue with PVA (wood) glue. Fill any gaps with yet more PVA glue. Clean up excess PVA glue with spit or water.
