use of eduard cockpit detail for a 1/72 f-16

Thanks for the info, will be trying it in a while. Does anybody know of somebody who is knowledgable in using eduard photo etched parts. I need some help in the canopy of the kit I am building which is the 1/72 f-16, it appears that the hud canopy assembly is to large for the kit. Am referring to part no 23 of the 72152 eduard photo etched unit.

I am using their 1/32 detail kit for my revell corsair and I found that a light coat of anything flat will not take away the detail. I also cut stryene rods to make buttons and knobs. I strip down electrical wires(fine guage) to make togel switches. Nothing brings out detail like 3D details. For painting though I recomened for 1/72 to air brush the color on. 1/32 can take brush painting but the much smaller scale needs that fine mist of atomized paint to keep the detail.

I would try using a light coat of primer, followed by a thinned down black or dark grey paint to get a base color, then drybrush to accent the dials / switches. It's unfortunate that they would make the detail so shallow, but that's the drawback of superdetailing 1/72.
