All the stuff I've seen has been a sans sarif face - meaning no serifs or those little points or flourishes. Just a plain lettering (the lettering used in this forum is a sans serif face)

Hit the books and look through some of the extant photographs of Luftwaffe aircraft. There is a plethora of profile illustrations out there that will show you an overwhelming display of aircraft markings.
