Revell Devastator
Posted by Anthony on Tuesday, June 24, 2003 10:00 PM
Hi, folks. I am just wondering if the new 1/48 Revell Devastator is the same as the old 1/48 Monogram Devastator(I only know that the crew figures in the Revell one is same as the Monogram one). If so, those of you who have seen or built both, do you think it is worthy to buy it(almost 30 years old)? Thanks.

Yes its the old Monogram kit.

Still a good kit for its age, needs some work but worth it to have a 1/48 example of this early mono-wing Torpedo Plane.

If you dont want to pay the current price they are asking for, you might try getting one off of e-bay, I've seen them going for around $10.00.

I say go for it, it's still a very good kit, especially given it's age. My Dad built one years back and it was just gorgeous built-up.

It builds up into a very nice model. Being and older Monogram kit, you'll have to put a bit of extra work into it, but hey, that's the hobby, right? :) Go for it! - Ed
