Oops, sorry about that. If you are working on doing all the CVW-5 aircraft, I had a set of 1/48 scale decals for the Liberty Bells made by Mike Grant. I'm doing a collection of CVW-5 a/c in 1/48 scale myself. You might email him and see if he will downsize it for you. He also has a sheet for the SH-60 unit.

I'm going to try & put together all the Atsugi birds ( including HSL-51 "Warlords" since they did start deploying with the Kitty Hawk when I was there).Big Smile [:D] I haven't had much luck on Evilbay yet. - Calvin

Ah yes eight blades. I've heard they're quite a success.

Talking of success, I'm impressed with the Revell AG 1/144 kit of the E-2C, which I'm building at the moment. (build is largely done - it's off to the paint shop next) It's great to see this machine tackled by a manufacturer in this scale, and done well too.

Now can we pleeease have a C-2 Greyhound in 1:144 too? : )

Hi, I believe the Heller kit is indeed a ' re-do' Fujimi kit. Not that this is a bad thing because I have built the Fujimi kit and found it to be fine.
I'll check to see what I have regarding decals.........I have at least 3 of the 1:72 scale Fujimi E-2C Hawkeye kits in the stash somewhere.
As for the props, I don't think anyone has come out with the new 8-bladed props yet.
I photographed a brand new E-2C (less than 3 months old) with the new props last summer at an air show..........believe it or not the plane is a lot quieter and maintenance people tell me the new 8-bladed props require much less attention than did the old 4-bladed props.

New props/decals for 1/72 E-2C Hawkeye

Hi all,

For my sins, I recently purchased, a Heller 1/72 E-2C Hawkeye.

Discussions elsewhere suggest this is a re-box of a Fujimi kit in one or other of it's incarnations (I believe there were several, none very exciting, but beggars can't be choosers)

The kit comes supplied with some very ordinary French Aeronavale decals and I am wondering if anyone has and is prepared to sell any USN decals - I believe Superscale did a couple of sheets which included the E-2C some years ago.

I'm also interested in whether any company has produced the modern six-bladed props retrofitted to the E-2C in recent years.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Graham
