All I really want...

I would love a good, and I mean really good, kit of the following planes, preferably in 1/48 and 1/72 scales:

  • Cessna 172 and 182 -- kits that I could model with the doors open and engine exposed if I wanted to.

  • F-82 Twin Mustang

  • Stinson L-5

There are kits avialable for at least the Cessna 172 and North American F-82, but all the reviews I've read indicate that they're inaccurate and tough to build.

What do you guys and gals think?

Regards,

I don't know how accurate it is but i liked the Monogram F82 and it was a nice build and looked good in the all black night fighter scheme
I dont know about the C172(but i think acadamy did one but i am not sure) but Heller did a Cessna 150/152 in 1/50th, hope this helps....Greg

I too would like a 48th L-5 Sentinal. I have a project in mind for this bird with a really nice piece of nose art. I'd also like to see a kit of the L-2, that's the bird I took my first ride in. Someday...

Regarding the L-5, what kind of nose art, and from which unit? I've got a picture of an L-5 with a tiger's mouth from the 72nd Liaison Squadron. It's pretty cool-looking. :D
