Thai Hawk

I've just start with Hobbycraft 1/48 Curtiss 75 N Thai Hawk. And in this moment my problems begin - does anyone know something about accuracy of engine cowling shape of this particular model ? When I compare it to plans it looks quite different. I think I can scratchbuild something, but I'm not as good to change it completly (if it is really wrong) - do you know about replacement or resin conversion for this model ? Any help or idea wanted ! Aleksander
