there are some really good F/A-18's but I think the Hasegawa is the best, but for the price you may look into the Esci or Italeri's kits they are not to bad, I read a few years back that the Esci is better then the Italeri's and I know that Esci's are being sold under the Italeri's label, as for the 130's the Italeri's is better the the Airfix(as the last of the name FIX) and the Airfix's kit needs a lot of work, but have fun and when finished please show us your masterpiece I'd really want to see it

I've built the Hasegawa F-18 Blue Angels at that scale. It's good. For the C-130, DO NOT take the airfix kit. The Italeri/Testors will be OK.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I was currently working on a 1/48 Blue Angels F-18. Now I have a delima. My main goal is to make a Diorama of the F-18 and a C-130 (Fat Albert). Now that I have gotten started on this I am not certain I want to do this in 1/48 scale. The C-130 is just too big to display, so I am thinking of changing to 1/72. There are several choices of 72 scale F-18s. Anyone have any experience with these? Doesn't seem to be much in the way of 1/72 C-130s other than the Italeri kit. There is a Testors, but I think it is a copy of the Italeri.
I am still pretty new to modeling and I am hoping to avoid as many fit problems as I am having with the Revell 1/48 kit.
On the bright side, I am learning a ton from the Revell wich makes it worth every penny ,even if I dont display it in the diorama Big Smile [:D]
