I've been posting questions for a little while now that mostly have to do with the Monogram 1/72 F-4J that I'm building. A few weeks ago, I got stuck on the intakes. The bottom of the intakes are molded as part of the bottom wing. Unfortunately, the way the kit is made, that leaves a gap between the bottom bottom of the intake, and the rest of it. Additionally, I had to paint the inside of the intakes and fill some small gaps in there so that there's some illusion of depth inside them.
I got stuck because I was trying to figure out how to fill all the gaps with putty. Last night I suddenly remembered that I could use super glue. An hour or so later, the intakes were installed on the plane. I'll still use putty for the gaps between the lower parts of the intakes and upper parts. I'll also have to smooth out the intake and fuselage joints, but that's pretty easy.
I'll try to get some "in progress" pictures posted soon if anyone is interested.
