Mike ashely has a few books out on that--building and detailing model aircraft i think is the name. I do remember that it had a whole chapter for how to use etched parts. you can still get it from kalmbach-- I think--also Paul Boyer has alot of good advice on that subject-and books too. Reading the articles in finescale and through trying it myself is how i learned(and i didnt glue my fingers to any parts!) Just remember to wear eye protection the little parts can fly! Remember your working with thin brass it will break if you bend it alot and you need crazy glue to hold it. I rinse mine with tap water prep it and paint it like it was plastic.if there is any molded on detail to remove,i do then dry fit it. If all fits i use a pencil eraser with a pin stuck in it , put a little drop of crazy glue and "dot " the back of the brass a few times and put it in place. hope that will help a little. good luck.
