Decals???
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, July 13, 2003 11:57 AM
I am building the P-38E Glacier Girl, but there are no decals for this bird in production. Does anyone make these things on a custom basis? I am not enough of an artist to hand paint the nose art, and dont want to ruin what will be my best model to date

Hey Huskerguy,
Your best bet is to have a chat w/ Blackwolf aka Steve. He is a VERY good artist.
If anything just click on to his profile and e-mail him. If you go to his site http://spasticforplastic.1hwy.com/catalog.html and go into the snap shot section, there you will see a P-51 Mustang from the 357th FG that I did. He did the nose art for "Miss Innocence".
I am not sure to what he would ask but tell him I sent ya. I O him anywaysTongue [:P]
Flaps up, Mike

Might want to check these guys out:

I found them by typing "custom water slide decals", without the quotes, in a search engine.

Do a search on www.google.com or this forum for Mike Grant Decals or e-mail me. He's done exceptional work for me.

a friend of mine suggested i go to a sign guy and maybe he knew someone who could hand paint the stuff, or maybe do it himself. Turned out he did a great job with a computer and a laser printer. It took him a while to get the nose art down the way he wanted, but it sure looks good. And he also did the identification numbers on the nose and the rudders. For all that work, he charged me 5 bucks...and was a totally nice guy who is into r/c big stuff. Has a P-51 mustang that he has 800 bucks in.,
