Hey Pix,
Glad you liked my 262 my friend!!. The ground work is another chapter!!
The over all fit of the Swallow was great except for the "closed" option of the gun bay doors.
It reminded me of the ol Monogram kit and how the closed doors did not sit properly w/ the rest of the a/c
How was the fit of the interior of the DML 262s?? I have the two seat variant and I'm a lil scared to build it. (Could you give me the ins and outs of the DML 262?? Heres my e-mail Falcon174th@aol.com Do ya have any pics of your 262s, it would be cool to have a look see Tongue [:P]

Y, because I started DMLs 1/48th 163 and all seemed to be good until I actually started to glue the interior together.
Nothing fit. not even the cockpit tube!! BOY and I thought that it was gonna be a neat lil build.
Well maybe Tamiya/Hasegawa will see this and do one "

Nice looking 262 ! I've built 5or 6 of the DML kits-they're a lot of work. Still have one with a Verlinden set. I'll have to wait till I've got PLENTY of time. Tamiya's tail and fit of engine naceles appear superior. Nice groundwork also. Looks like a Stormbird to me !

The kit was very well done over all. Believe me you will enjoy the build as much as I did.
Just be careful when you assemble the nose section!! Also if you choose to have the gun bay doors in the closed postition, the fit is not all that good.
Some dry fitting and trimming will do the trick. Enjoy

. After 8mnths who would have thought that this bird would see the day of being complete!!

Dude..Awesome job!!! I think the Germans would be proud to see that you gave theyre best fighter some justice..lol But i will have to get that kit and try it myself...the gun panel..looks awesome....and i know everyone and myself included would like to see some closeups of it...but it looks great...and the little ground diorama thing makes it stand out even more!!

Nice to see the panel detail wasn't overdone.
Most of these jets were only 6 to 12 months old and didn't fly that much due to the low engine life.

I forgot to mention that the ONLY damage was on the tip of the nose which kinda split apart. Also just aft of the gun bay there was a lil seam.
