I figured I'd repay the favor, by posting my Tamiya Corsair. Yeah, Yeah, it looks "Factory Fresh" but, this is the first aircraft kit I have done in a looooong time, so be gentle. Wink [;)]

Thats a nice Corsair, Erock.

Okay, question is: Have you repayed the favor or have you actually been "assimilated?"Tongue [:P]

And before you shoot me ... I build both aircraft and armor kits, so I'm neutral. Shy [8)]

Actually,

I have plenty of both types of kits. My first love, however, is Armor (Ooops, I mean my wife Kisses [:X] ) In the works I have Tam's ME262-A2A

As for the aircraft kits I have yet to build, they are Tamiya's 1/48 FW190 D9, BF109E-4/7, A6M2 Zero. Hasegawa's SBD-3 Dauntless, Junkers Ju87G-2 Accurate Miniature's TBF-1C Avenger and Academy's 1/72 B-17F "Memphis Belle"

Even though it's against my religion to build a model without weathering of any sort, I still like to see a well done "clean" build now and again, sharp Corsair Erock.

Whaz up Erock,
OK so armour guys can build a/cTongue [:P]Tongue [:P]. Very good job my friend.
I have always liked the Corsair. You will definetly enjoy the 262. Just watch out for the gun bay area. The fit is a lil tricky at timesSad [:(]

That's an excellant build, Erock. How was that kit? It's one I've been debating about
purchasing.

wibhi2,

Excellent kit, no fit problems whatsoever (Tamiya) This kit did get me in gear to purchase a few of their other aircraft. It was also a rebound kit after getting frustrated with Revell-Monogram's P-40B. I was pulling my hair out and thought of not even doing another aircraft.

It still is sitting on the shelf, waiting to torment me some more Black Eye [B)]

Well, don't let the Monogram P-40 get you down, it's been around since the 60's. No comparison to today's kits, as you no doubt discovered with the Corsair!

Cool, thanks Eroc68. I almost felt the same way at one point with the Academy's M18 suspension assembly - lots of really small parts to nudge around, and terribly afraid of the carpet monster.

blackwolfscd is right about today's aircraft kits. I still got some from the 60's (monogram reissues), but those are for me to test my scratch skills at some future point in time.

Nice job, Erock68! But only when you build a Stuka tankbuster will you truly defeat your treadhead side! Evil [}:)]
