Probly goes back to inch system vs. metric. 1/32 fits into the inch system easily where anything will fit into the metric system, 1/35 was probly just a convenient size.

The only reason I can think of is because they like to mess with people. Their motto must be, "In your suffering, I grow stronger!" I'm sure that there is some logical reason, but for the life of me, I've never figured it out.

I've asked this same type question about 1/24 - 1/25 scales for autos, but I think the same question may apply here.

Why do the kit manufacturers make 32nd scale aircraft when they could make it 35th scale and therefore compatible with armor?

Any ideas?
