Thanx, Pixilater!
Why, the Raiden should be the winner, of course! Avenging his fallen comrade!
Then you could show the two fallen pilots playing cards together on a deserted South Pacific Island.
Happy ending!

Thanks for the positive feedback ! To answer the questions -
midnightprowler : The flames and smoke were extracted from a digital photo of the local fireworks this year. The sky was shot on one of those RED sunset nights.
J-Hulk : I will see If I can do a Hellcat V. Raiden for you today. (who's the winner ?)
Merlin V1650 : There is enough death today, I don't feel it needs to be recreated. In our modelling world, we can decide who lives and who doesn't. Isn't that great ?
wibhi2 : Will be taking animation classes and an advanced Photoshop class this semester. Things could become interesting . . .

Oh nooooo!!!!
You did that just because I said the Raiden was my all-time favorite Japanese aircraft, didn't ya?

Looks great, though. You're a talented digital artist!

Now, go blow up a Hellcat, will ya?

I added part of the local fireworks display to my 1/48 Hasegawa Raiden. For all you fans of Japanese aircraft out there - So Solly ! Let me know what you think. I don't do contests, and I have no contact with other modelers outside of this forum. Does anyone have a picture in his/her mind that they would like to see ? Maybe I can accomodate you. FSM has been the main inspiration for my return to this hobby after a hiatus of 25 years. (discovered alcohol at 18, the year they lowered the drinking age) Sober 10 years now, and returned to the hobby I loved as a youth. Threr have been a couple of changes in modelling since then . . .
