Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby B-17G

Well I just finished up another B-17 with the markings of the famous Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby that flew with the 91st bomb group. A freind of mine printed up the decals for the plane and the job he did was awsome to say the least ,especially the nose art. Anyway. I took a different angle when I built this plane as far as the paint scheme goes. I did it in the original NMF not the bogus OD that is on the original plane now. The real Shoo Shoo Baby did not have the red fin and rudders because of the fact she was not in service long enough to have them applied by the group. But on my kit thats what I put because it makes the model stand out more. I have to say next to my 909 B-17 this is the best one I ever built. I only wish I had a digital camera to show pic's of the two famous bombers. Next on deck will be my Trumpeter P-51D which will be wearing the markings of the greatest Mustang ace of all time Major George Preddy's "Cripes A Mighty". But with two very well built B-17 bombers in the can I can now say I'm retired from building B-17's unless Panda decides to come out with their 1/32nd B-17. Thats one I couldnt pass up.

Happy Modeling,
Steve
