What about doing it in captured markings?

The French operated two or three 335's after the war for test purposes. they were in overall drab with French roundels & fin flash. For the full story you'll need the March & April 2002 editions of Aeroplane monthly magazine (try aeroplanemonthly.com for back issues).

Or, There's always the British or American examples. I'm sure there are pics on line of those, stormbirds.com might be helpful.

I have both the Monogram and Tamiya kits. The Monogram was built a while back as a 2 seater night fighter. I think I will re-do this one with black undersides, light grey top with dark grey mottling. I also saw this scheme somewhere Confused [%-)].  I need to figure out the markings.

It looks like the time is ripe to do some work on my 1/72 Dragon kit again, nice kit with detailed engines and PE frets included.

On the bench : Revell's 1/125 RV Calypso

Didn't Shepherd Paine do a really nice example of that mottle/squiggle camo for the Monogram kit?

Cutting Edge makes 3 different packs for the Do335 Arrow, none of the images shown are mottled, but they have a plethora of different country markings:

CED 48131

So long folks!

Might you be talking about this?

I too am building a 335 but I havent seen any decals like that. However, since the Arrow never made it to combat, I think you could use your imagination for the decals.

Can anyone provide info for unusual DO-335 color schemes besides the usual 'splinter' scheme. I saw one some place with med green topside with dark green mottling. Any a/m decals available?
