The Hasegawa seems to have good detail; I purchased the A-4C and have ordered the E/F. Cutting Edge has conversion kits available to model an accurate Blue Angels "super fox" as well as true A-4Ms. I still have the old Monogram OA-4M and various Monogram A-4Es that I have yet to build. They were the best in 1/48 scale; they were the only way to get an OA-4 in 1/48. I am currently working on an A-4M that I made by chopping the rear off the OA-4 and grafting to the front of an A-4E. I have an old Missing Links conversion with the canopy and windscreen, dash, nose and drag chute.

The Hasegawa kit is a really good kit, in my opinion. detail is good, and fit isn't too bad. As for the website, try www.hobbylobby.com

Thank you for the info. I have searched for "Hobby Lobby" on the net but came up with a few sites that did not seem to match. Do you know the URL?

The Hasegawa A-4Ekit was re-released my Promodeler with the Blue Angels markings. I just bought one (at half-price) from Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago. I think you would be interested. It is more affordable than the hasegawa release, I believe.

The 1/48 scale A-4 Skyhawk series kits released by Hasegawa are the best in my opinion. Other options in 1/48 are the ancient Monogram release which was good for it's time but that time has passed. Also, the Hobbycraft releases which came out about the same time as Hasegawas. The Hobbycraft kits are OK but not as good as Hasegawa.

Hi,
I'm new this forum, I have been building model aircraft for 35 years now. I am looking for the best (in your opinion) A-4 Skyhawk model out there. I am interested in either an A-4 to model the Blue Angles version or even a trainer version in 1/48 scale. I like the Hasegawa kits that I have built in the past. I would like your opinion on this subject. Anything you could add would be of great help. Smile [:)]
Thanks,
Tom
