I read that I-16 type 18 had dashboard panel with two holes above which allowed a pilot to access to fuselage-mounted machineguns for reloading. I have never seen these holes on any dashboards provided by I-16 model kits. And I never seen such photo too. But the issue I read is very reliable and cannot be ignored. (It's in Russian, unfortunately)
