Instruction Sheets Online
Posted by wdolson2 on Thursday, June 1, 2006 5:49 PM
I just went to Revell-Monogram's site.  They completely redesigned it recently.  I discovered they now have PDFs of all their instruction sheets online:  Instructions

Very handy if you get a kit without one.  A little irritating that they are listed by kit number and not the name, but at least they're there.

RM is also one of the best companies I've encountered about getting replacement parts.  You can order them from their website.  It cost $3 last time I used it, but it was fast and it worked.  After 2 years I'm still waiting for replacement parts for a Trumpeter P-38.

I see requests for instruction sheets here from time to time, thought some of you would be interested in this find.

Bill,

Contact Stevens International for the replacement parts for your P-38. They are the U.S distributor for Trumpeter. I got nowhere trying to contact Trumpeter, but had my parts in 2 weeks after emailing Stevens. You have to tell them what part tree your missing part is from. They sent me the whole tree for no charge!!    Hope this helps.

Hi Bill,

I have missing instructions from an AH-64 (1:32), and I checked that site, but there was no download for 85-4575.

Not to worry, I'm sure that they'll turn up sooner or later <G>.

Cheers,

Bruce

I did contact Steven's International.  Both sets of booms were broken.  They sent me one set after a year, I'm still waiting on the second set, even though they promised they would send it and I've bugged them several times.

Revell-Monogram and Airfix have been the best two I've dealt with.  Marco Polo Imports, who used to import Hasegawa used to be great, but now Hasegawa kits are imported by Dragon USA and I've had bad luck with them.

Thanks for the information on the instruction sheets; I will share that with my fellow club members at our next meeting.  As I read through the posts here, I found it interesting on how well, and not so well that the companies that we keep in business treat customers after a sale.  It seems that a thread or page could probably be started (maybe it already has Wink [;)]) on how folks have been dealt with by companies in order to let others know what they might expect.  I won't put anyone down here, but I will tell you that I had a great experience with CAM Miniatures when I found a poorly molded exhaust nozzle in their F-14D conversion kit.  After sending an e-mail, they sent me two replacements at no charge, and the turn around was very reasonable.  I have no problem spending money with companies that treat customers like that.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] I have 2 of my favorite places online that I usually do just about all my shopping at. They don't have the cheapest prices, but I know They will have my packages in the mail 2 days after they send me an email saying that they have shipped them, everytime now now for probably 2 years!
