I bought two F18 kits on clearance from local Hobby Lobby, about $4 each. I use the large fuselage parts and the wing parts for airbrush testing because that's all these kits are good for.

I got AMT's F-18 too and paid quite a bit for it (undisclosed amount!Big Smile [:D]), and was thoroughly disappointed. The Revell/Monogram F-18C is worlds better and cheaper.

Sell the F18 quick!
It is a dog. No question about it, it is not anywhere close to the Monogram Revell kit. it doesn't even "look" right.
Should have known better when I just bought an AMT car kit. . .what happened to Quality Assurance? This thing is a bent mess, and AMT doesn't seem to care.
Live and learn, no more AMT kits for me.

Don
I know it's only rock and roll, but I like it.

I just read blackwolfs' review of the current kit quality and manufacturers In another thread. Very nicely done and interesting to boot. Althogh AMT was listed, I would like to hear everyones, comments concerning the A-10 and F-18 I got the two kits on ebay and only paid 3.00 for them ( is that a clue??) They will be next on my list if they get favorable reviews I am an OOB guy but if the effort is warranted maybe I'll start experimenting with resin and photoetch accessories.Cool [8D]
